Hello and welcome to Writes and Bikes.

Behind the blog, I’m Roisin, writer and keen road cyclist this is my space to share my thoughts and writings about, well… those two topics. I live in West Sussex in the UK (great cycling) I have a house, a cat and a Matt.

I’ve just completed my masters in Creative Writing with the Open University and decided I really better actually start sharing my writing. Or it will sit in notebooks and on my onedrive for all eternity. A wise person (my mum) reminded me today nobody creates art without hoping for it to be seen by someone else.

After university I stopped writing, and the mind is like a muscle so I don’t want to stop this time.

Full disclosure I might also stray into feminism, allyship, friendship, women who inspire me and some house renovation thoughts thrown in for good measure.
